Brindabella Road Upgrade Project
Projects Details
The Brindabella Road Upgrade focuses on approximately 10.6km of unsealed road from the intersection of the Goodradigbee River bridge to the NSW/ACT State border. This segment varies in condition with some parts being overly steep, tight winding curves, and narrow widths.
The goal of the project was to reduce vehicle accidents, improve emergency response time in the area, and increase tourist visitation to the Snowy Valleys LGA including the Brindabella, Namadgi, and Kosciuszko National Parks. These goals were achieved by widening the travel lanes, sealing the existing road, and providing all necessary advisory signage and safety barrier.
Our Role
Rigore Engineering Services (Rigore) was engaged by Snowy Valleys Council (SVC), to design and deliver a suitable road upgrade for 10.6km of Brindabella Road in the form of detailed construction drawings.
