Mary Gilmore Way Box Culvert Upgrade
Projects Details
The Mary Gilmore Way Box Culvert Upgrade project entails the replacement of two twin cell box culverts spanning 9.6m long. The structures are located along Mary Gilmore Way, south-west of Grenfell. The horizontal and vertical geometry of the road is to remain relatively the same with improvements to open channel drainage to be made where possible. The existing condition of the culverts has been classified as poor with voids between culvert joints, slab deterioration, and significant erosion.
Rigore conducted a detailed topographic survey using our DJI Matrice 350 RTK drone with DJI Zenmuse 2 LiDAR scanner. This topographic survey was used to inform culvert invert heights and lay the foundation for design.
Mary Gilmore Way links Barmedman to Grenfell, providing a connection to residential developments and transportation route in the Weddin Shire Council Area, the project’s aim is to replace the existing deteriorated culverts and provide a suitable culvert design that accommodates the existing road conditions.
