Inland Rail Albury to Illabo CTTAMP
Projects Details
The Inland Rail project will upgrade 1,600 km of freight rail line between Melbourne and Brisbane, via regional Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland. The project is divided into 12 sections, The Inland Rail Albury to Illabo (A2I) scope comprises corridor clearance and capacity upgrades along ~185 km of existing operational rail from the Victoria - New South Wales border to Illabo in regional NSW.
This section of track requires 12 enhancement sites including bridge demolition and reconstruction works, track lowering/reconfiguration and level crossing modifications to enable double-stacked freight operations.
Rigore created traffic management strategies - a crucial logistical aspect of the project this included construction vehicle / haulage routes, intersection volume coordination, peak traffic management, mitigation strategies, swept path analysis, and general population traffic detours. This traffic analysis and route coordination directly influenced the feasibility of the project in the planning, and construction stages.
